Molly and Me

On Saturday, March 20, we joined my mom, Molly, and her friends to honor her dear friends Katie and Bill who got married on St. Patrick's Day.  Most of the photos were taken by a much better photographer, but I was able to get a few photos in myself (in between many glasses of champagne!).  Here are a few of the good ones...

Molly and I raise of glass of cheer to Katie and Bill.

Katie's beautiful cake (chocolate and vanilla).

A lovely gift from Katie's new husband Bill: cake knife set with an ocean theme.

Just some of the food provided by hosts and guests.

How do you get to Carnegie Hall?

Having completed my sixth month of cello lessons I'm still wondering when the squeaks and wolfs are going to be under control, but feeling happier every day that I'm playing this wonderful instrument.  I know it's difficult for those around me who are within earshot of my practicing, but no one has more creatively expressed her discomfort than my six year old granddaughter Eva. She happened to be working on her English assignment on Haiku during one of my practice sessions last week, and, she wrote this (something everyone, but especially my cello instructor, will agree on!)....

There's plenty of photos and videos to come from our visit here at Gigi's house, but this is all I've had time to upload. Enjoy!
