Friday 12/18: This was our last day having the girls and it was filled with necessary errands and an early departure on the trip home due to the weather. Fortunately we finished our projects by last night and settled down to watch "Miracle on 34th Street" (the remake) before tucking them in around 9:30.
With a "historic snow storm" predicted to start around midnight tonight, we left Fredericksburg around 3 and made good time to Richmond. However, the snow started at 5:30 just as we were sitting down for dinner with Liz and James. We left at 6:30 with the snow getting thick fast. It took us two hours to complete the 1 hour trip home, but now we're here safe and sound with cups of warm milk, honey and "JD".
The house seems so quite without Eva and Mimi here with their sweet voices and footfalls. What's not to love??
